Freeview, the free to air digital TV service, has launched a new royal wedding themed ad campaign to promote its high definition service, Freeview HD.

The £1.8m ad campaign, by 18 Feet & Rising, aims to encourage viewers to upgrade to Freeview HD in time for the wedding.

The TV shows corgi dogs as they journey across the countryside, over the Dartford Bridge, hitch a ride with a lorry driver and hop on a boat to watch the service on Freeview. The soundtrack is a remix of 1987 rave track 'Strings of Life' using brass intruments.

The dogs used in the spot also starred in ‘The King’s Speech’. The TVC was directed by Daniel Wolfe through Somesuch & Co. The campaign will be supported by additional national and consumer press ads, advertorials, radio and digital activity.
